Our church is one of approximately 11,000 member congregations of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Each local church is governed by a representative democracy. Men and women are elected each year by the congregation to serve as ELDERS, ( members of the Council).
The Council is charged with the responsibility of overseeing all church related activity. There are twelve Elders and the Pastor on the Council. Elders commit to serve for three years. The Session is organized into five commissions. The Council meets on the third Thursday of every month. Meetings are ordinarily open and your suggestions and concerns are always welcome at Council meetings!
This group oversees the concerns related to building and grounds, finances, personnel, stewardship campaigns, and the budget.
Christian Education Commission
These members oversee and empower volunteers for ministry in the areas of Christian Education, Vacation Bible School, youth ministry and related opportunities.

Worship and Music Commission

Board of Deacons
The Board of Deacons consists of nine women and men who direct the ministry of caring for our congregation. Their work is divided between providing practical, caring support for members and friends and organizing CPC's service to the community and world.
